If I could ask God one question. . . why do we have that rectangular shaped part of our upper lip?
Fondest memory. . .just one!? Okay, sitting on the tailgate of a station wagon with my grandfather out in the country while he called a bobwhite with a whistle.
I have traveled to. . .not to, but through, the Bermuda Triangle – two times!
Guests at my fantasy dinner party. . . Jimmy Buffett, Jesus, Sidartha, Thomas Jefferson.
Likes. . . bagle chips, crabs, oysters, barbecue, grouper and conch burgers, sailing, swimming and fishing

Ed is a native of Newport News, VA where he grew up enjoying water sports from swimming to sailing. He received the BA degree from William and Mary in 1980, the Master of Divinity degree from Duke University in 1984, and the Doctor of Ministry degree from Union-PSCE in 2002. He began his ministry in 1983. Ed is married to the former Sharon Harley of Atlanta, Georgia. Sharon is an occupational therapist with Goochland County Schools. They have two children, Catie, a college student studying nursing, and Harley, who attends VA Tech. An avid racing sailor, Ed is always looking for a reason to be on the water.

My Favorite Bible Characters. . .Noah, because I would hope that I would build an ark if God told me too even if everyone else was laughing at me.
If I could ask God one question. . .was there always a plan and if so how did allowing people to make their own choices effect the plan.
Fondest memory. . .Lenny giving me the eye to leave the room so he could ask my mom for my hand in marriage.

Good Shepherd Church Office Administrator Karen Albro has been on staff since August 1991 and a member since 1980. Karen loves to spend time with her family, read and go to the beach. She is married to Lenny, has three children, Lindsey, Alex and Niki, two grandchildren, Caleb and Adie and son-in-laws, Brandon and Johnny.

A little bit about Jodi
My favorite Bible Characters. . .I can’t think of an all time favorite, but I’ve really enjoyed learning more about the women in recent Bible studies. God chose them despite of society’s view of them at that time.
If I could ask God one question... when we go through hard times or bad things happen to good people, why can’t you clue us in to the lesson your trying to teach us at that moment? Send me a sign!
I have traveled to. . Lots of states including Hawaii, Bahamas, Bermuda, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, and Mexican Riviera
Guests at my fantasy dinner party. . . I’d have 2. Ocean’s Eleven cast – George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, Bernie Mac – I think I’d laugh pretty hard & who wouldn’t enjoy looking at them up close! The 2nd – My love of history – dinner party with the founding fathers of our country, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison, B. Obama and Oprah Winfrey (she can ask the questions) Likes . . . oatmeal butterscotch cookies, skiing, hanging out with friends scrapbooking or at Lake Gaston

Jodi graduated from James Madison University (Go Dukes!) in 1991 with a degree in accounting. She is married to Paul who works for Haley Automotive Group. They have two elementary age sons and a middle school aged daughter.

Sara Eddleton, Minister of Youth Discipleship and Missions#####
A little bit about Sara:
My Favorite Bible Characters. . .Deborah (her story can be found in Judges 4 and 5) She had a great faith and was well respected as the only female judge. Also, she was a great source of wisdom and had a keen sense of discernment. Paul because he was a changed human being. He went from making fun of Jews to being blinded and having his name changed from Saul to Paul. He completed missionary journeys and was responsible for spreading the word of Christ.
I have traveled to. . .18 States and England, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Spain, Egypt, and Israel.
Guests at my fantasy dinner party. . . Julia Roberts, Jesus, Ryan Star, Jack Johnson, Ellen Pompeo (Meredith on Grey's Anatomy), David Letterman, and my best friends.

My Favorite Bible Characters. . .Esther and Deborah – I love that we have stories of strong women doing extraordinary things with God. Abraham and Moses – because I make mistakes everyday and don’t want to go where I think God is leading me – if Abraham and Moses could follow God, why can’t I?

Lisa earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1988 and the Master of Divinity from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond in 2007. She is married to Donald who has a passion for organic gardening and chair caning.

Tom Heaton, Music Director
Tom, who came to us from First United Methodist, in Roanoke Rapids, NC, holds a Master's Degree in Sacred Music from the Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond. In addition to directing, Tom plays piano and composes his own music. Tom's wife Joy is the Pastor of Westhampton Baptist Church in Richmond. She is working towards her Doctorate of Divinity.
